Hazelnuts are used in confectionery, baking, spreads and plant-based dairy alternatives. Whilst they grow in Italy, Oregon (USA), Georgia, Azerbaijan and Spain, it is Turkey that dominates global supply with over 70% of the world’s hazelnuts coming from there.
Hazelnuts are a good source of protein, carbohydrates, fibre and vitamin E. They also have trace amounts of B9, Magnesium, Copper, Manganese and antioxidants, making them a great choice for healthy snacking.
